Welcome & Background
Assalamualaikum wr wb Parents,
Welcome to Al-Istiqamah Mosque madrasah. The madrasah, in collaboration with PERDAUS ( Association of Adults Religious Class Students of Singapore ) began its operation in 2000. It took over its full operation in 2003.
In 2009 it implemented its first a.L.I.V.E programmes which was developed by MUIS and hope to convert all its classes to a.L.I.V.E by 2012.

To nurture a love for learning Islam, lessons are conducted in an engaging manner to keep interst levels high. Our teaching approach uses meaningful, value-based, interactive methods to aid active learning and participation.

Curriculum
Our curriculum focuses on a teacher facilitated, child initiated bilingual ( English & Malay ) program. a.LIVE programmes adopt a thematic approach to learning. Different themes appropriate for each level are being taught.
Subjects taught are:
- Faith and Practices ( Aqidah & Fiqh )
- Character & Life Skills ( Akhlaq )
- Social and Islamic Civilization ( Sirah )
- Quranic reading and Understanding
- Iqra ( Supplementary )
- Practical Solat ( Supplementary )
- Hafalan Doa & Short Surah ( Supplementary )
Assessment
- Observation by class teachers – oral, practical, class work, classroom interactions, portfolio of children’s work
- Observation by parents – home activity, checklists
- Trainer’s observation – project works, evaluation forms
Classes
Kids a.L.I.V.E – ages 5-8
Tweens a.L.I.V.E – ages 9-12
Teens a.L.I.V.E – ages 13 – 16
Youth a.L.I.V.E – ages 17 – 24
Sessions:
Saturday/ Sunday : 8 – 11 am, 11.30 am – 2.30 pm
Tue/Thu , Wed/Fri : 3.00 – 6.00 pm
