Social Development

The Social Development (SD) department is the hearbeat of Masjid Al-Istiqamah. It consists of 7 sub-departments headed by Mr Shahruddin Bin Sogol. Every officer in SD plays a vital role in organising socio–religious programs for the mosque, especially Imam Executive to ensure the SD program runs accordingly to permissible practice in Islam. We consider “grave to cradle” services to the community, either through direct services or referral services.

Programs run under respective Units;

Ibadah Dakwah officer in charge: Ustaz Mohd Taufiq Bin Muhd Ismail, he is supported by MRO Ustaz Khairani, Hj Yakoob Syukur and other part-time Imam Bilal.

• Weekly lecture (every Saturday)
• Seasonal Events – like Korban, Ramadan program, Solat Eidulfitri & Adha, nights of Hijrah etc
• Tahniks & Cucuk rambut
• We provide religious counselling and FAQ

Qaryah officer in charge: Shahruddin Bin Sogol

• Seasonal program like talks on Pre Ramadan talks, Kenduri before the 2 eid, collaboration program with MAEC Braddell Heights in give out food to the needy, Ramadan Tarawih prayer program and the 2 Eid Solat.

Muslimah (women) Wing officer in charge: Supiyah Abdul Rahman

• Program like Hari Ibu, Bengkel Haji Ustazah Kamaraiah, Fundraising Project, Muslimah bonding Program and supporter in any other mosque major program.

Muslimin (Men) Wing officer in charge: Shahruddin Bin Sogol

• Support in all mosque major event like Ibadah Korban, Maulid, Maal Hijrah and many more.

Youth Wing officer in charge: Ustaz Muhd Khairani Basiran

• Youth Incharged, Do Good Feel Good, Terapi Hidup for Probationer, SuperFriday, Soccer Team, Sepak Takraw Team, Hiking, Camp and etc.
• We also provide one to one youth counselling and group counselling program.

Family Development & Welfare officer in charge: Shahruddin Bin Sogol

• Marriage Prepartion Course (Bersama Mu & Kasih Sejati), Parenting workshop with other organisation like PPIS & APKIM, Orphange home visit local or Overseas.
• We provide Family counselling.

Financial Assistance (Zakat & Fidyah Disbursement) officer in charge: Supiyah Bin Abdul Rahman.

• We are looking for Volunteers as Befriender to the FA clients.
• Give out Fidyah to Needy of FA clients
• Provide Financial Assistance to Needy
• Provide Education for children who study in Al-Istiqamah Mosque Madrasah or TASKA
